My background is in architecture and design, not food.

The field of architecture draws those with an inquisitive mind and a desire to improve the world we live in. My career, as both practitioner and educator, taught me to learn by asking questions, and to create change through taking action. My transition to a plant-based diet exposed to me a multitude of problematic issues within the global food system, and revealed many parallels with the world of architecture.  Both industries require urgent, systemic change. But I realised, where a construction project can take years to effect, serving a meal is instant. 

And this is how EDIT began.

I started a food business as a more immediate way to address the need and communicate the possibility for change, joining a community of others who share my vision.  We are now part of a growing movement who are ditching the zero sum ‘cradle-to-grave’ practices of the past and moving towards a kinder, more circular future in which we work with nature, not against it. 

We believe that, together, we can start to have a big impact on the world around us.
